I use "Easy GIF Animator" and then upload the graphic to http://tinypic.com.

you have to have a program that can animate your pictures and compress it into a .gif format such as Photobie;

then you upload that on myspace.

unless youre talking about a slideshow on your profile.

but if you see one of those, click on it and it willt ake you to the site!

you open it in MS paint and draw over it in the color you want. then save it. then open it again and draw over it in another color. save. keep doing this, about 20 times. then post it on your myspace it will change colors.

My understanding is that they have to be in animated .gif format.

search for animations, download what you like...then upload the animation as a pic. You can find free programs online that will turn a group of pics into an animation....if you google "custom myspace animations" you'll prob find ALOT. Most animations you see were predone though.....I have one as my default.
